Boardless in Breckenridge
OK I know that probably sounds beyond cheesy, but it is infact my situation. I took a direct flight from SFO to Denver this afternoon and all of my gear did not make it. That includes all the clothing except what I was wearing, my board, and my kite.
Frontier seemed pretty cool about things and said they would deliver it when it gets in, if it gets in I guess will be the case. Besides that they will pay for me to rent my gear and buy some snowboarding clothing. We shall see.
Besides all of that, Ryan and I had little difficulty meeting up at the airport. We rented a totally stripped down chrysler sebring, who's station was pre-set to the hottest hip hop station in Denver.
The drive from Denver brought back a lot of old memories and the two hour drive went by in a flash.
It was obvious from the looks of town that the affects Katrina had on Mardi Gras spread beyond the big easy, as the main street of Breckenridge was quiet. We spent the evening hanging at kelly's house on White Cloud Dr.
We plan to get up in the morning and hit the mountain, we are praying for snow and cooler weather to get in a couple great days of riding.
